Pulaski Furniture company is still making this form of display cabinet; while I can't see a published retail price, the auction records for vintage prices achieved are quite low. Your display cabinet looks like it is in good condition, and you can safely use it without fear of damaging it. I am unable to tell - from the serial number - when this was made.
