The only way to really describe it is to have someone look at the photos. It seems to be in great condition.
Sorry, it's at our home on Nantucket and I didn't measure it - guessing 18 inches long or so

If you're willing to wait on this until March when you can examine this in person that would be slightly preferable to me (only so then I don't have to revise an appraisal). I'll leave this open and just come back with a comment when you've had a chance to look at it in person.
If you're prefer I do a provisional appraisal now please let me know, and Happy Holidays!
Delia
We can wait; happy holidays to you too. Many thanks for wanting to be precise.
My husband is asking roughly how much of a price difference wood would be vs marble π
LOL...no worries...painted wood is probably worth half as much as marble (and when I see better photos in the Spring I can give a more precise answer...
I'm here if you need anything else!

OK, FINALLY back to the Nantucket house. My husband reports it's wood with small plaster pillars, metal feet and measures in inches - 16.25 W, 6.25 depth (clock dial is 5.75 inches circumference) and 11.50 high. No name seen anywhere. Hope this helps. He's at the house a couple more days, so please LMK if you need more info. Appreciate your patience. Kathleen
Thanks very much, Kathleen, you're all set - enjoy Nantucket!

Hi Delia; My husband thinks it's painted wood, but it does have some weight to it. Perhaps we should just wait until we're back up on Nantucket in March to finish, or a provisional/conditional would be fine for now. There are no brand names on it, unfortunately.
