21.5 cm high, 13 cm from edge of handle to edge of handle diagonally. Predominantly brown with hand-painted sunset, water, trees and house scene. Beading in the middle of the vase.
Previous owner states that it was on her grandmother's mantelpiece when she visited as a child 60 years ago.
Dear Lisa,
What you have indeed is Japanese vase made in Nagoya factory. In 1908 Nagoya Seito Sho Company was founded by Kotero Asukai, former employee of Noritake. Resemblance with Noritake porcelain is big. Your vase is partly handpainted and partly they used templates. Date of the vase is ca. 1920. Value is still low; there is simply not much demand for the work of the Nagoya factory. Estimation is based on a vase with no damage and with little wear.
