Hello Andrew,
Thank you very much for submitting your painting for an online appraisal and for your patience.
The presented object appears to be an oil on canvas painting depicting a country scene: a team of horses carrying a wagon loaded with hay at the center, with a group of children playing on the right side of the composition. The painting measures approximately 23 x 40 inches, is framed and signed "WR Stone" in the bottom left corner.
I believe that the work can be attributed to William R. Stone (British, 1842-1913). Several of his works have come up at auction in recent years, including:

The last comparable is the most recent and bears the strongest resemblance to your painting, so I would estimate the current fair market value to fall between $800 and $1000, though it is important to note that retail and asking prices do vary. This means that you might find works attributed to this artist selling for more at galleries and online auction sites like eBay and similar.
I would also like to note that the frame itself is lovely. However, its value cannot be determined separately from the painting, as oil on canvas works from this period are often sold with similar frames.
If you have any questions about my appraisal, please let me know in the comments section below. Thank you again and have a lovely day!
Kind regards,
Anne
