The "M" mark on the photo of the underside indicates was used between 1931-1941 so I am a bit curious why a reference would say this was made 1950-1951 but, for sake of argument and to satisfy all aspects, I will date this from 1931-1951.
Noritake china sets tend to bring about $1 per piece; sometimes if sets are larger than 100 pieces they bring a bit more per piece or if the set includes many of the larger service pieces. Also, the market for Noritake has fallen somewhat in the past 8-12 years...there simply isn't the demand at auction for formal china.
