My father purchased it around 1950 maybe before , when he was in the service stationed in Japan. Raised gold pattern I was able to find the pattern or name but the mark on the back as you’ll see does not have the pattern name included .
Purchased in Japan by my father who was in the military
Dear Rebecca,
Thank you for the additional information. Your pattern is called Bancroft, and Noritake produced it from 1949-1984. The set appears to be in good condition with no visible chips or cracks. It is made out of porcelain and features a raised enameled floral design that would have been hand-painted. Although the pattern was made in Japan, it was designed and for the western market. Based on recent price realizations for items in the same pattern design and condition, a fair market estimate for the set would be between 250 and 350 US dollars.
Thanks,
Morgan
