Hi Karen,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Noritake was one of the most popular names for dinnerware in the mid 20th Century; not only was it handsome and serviceable but it was also comparatively affordable. Increasingly few people today, however, entertain in such a formal way and the market is saturated with services of varying sizes, colors, etc. Because there is less demand than supply, fair-market / auction prices for Noritake remain low, typically bringing $4-6 PER PIECE.
While you have a relatively small service with few serving pieces (platters, tureens, serving bowls, etc), the fact that you have the same (and even) number of place pieces (plates, bowls, cups), benefits its value, which I've appraised at about $5-7/piece
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage 52-piece Noritake parcel gilt Ivory China part dinner service for 8
In the Blue Rose pattern (white ground with blue flowers and gilt highlights and edges, made in Japan, bearing the back stamp in use from 1962, comprising:
8 dinner plates
8 luncheon plates
8 salad plates
8 dessert plates
8 cups with 8 saucers
1 platter
1 serving bowl
1 cream pitcher
1 sugar bowl

$275-375 for the set*

Hi Karen,
I guessed at the piece count from your description and the photo so if I'm off in my count, please let me know what needs to be changed and I'll amend this ASAP.
Thanks,
