unidentified Chinoiserie pattern in gilt on black and red, bearing the Morimura M mark in use from 1921-1940, comprising:
5 dessert plates (7 1/2 inches diameter)
covered sugar bowl (4 1/2 inches tall)
cream pitcher (3 1/4 inches tall)

Noritake has told me that the pattern was created in 1918 but given no name nor number. They carry a "Made in Japan" rather than a Nippon label on the underside so may have been made after 1921 when the latter was outlawed in the US.
