The presented object appears to be a mid-sized gouache drawing on paper or cardboard with measurements of 37 x 34 inches. The painting depicts a sailing ship with a man overboard. It is signed and dated in red letters in the lower right corner. It was made by the Irish artist Marie Carroll. She mainly depicted city views, hunting and horse racing scenes, and maritime motifs like this artwork.
Works by this artist were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
