oesman effendi work on paper from 1957
it's a work on paper but the medium is unknown. it is signed by the artist in the lower right corner "o. effendi". i cannot find other examples from this early in his career, but the period marks his initial embrace of abstraction which continued until his dearh from liver cancer in 1985.
cannot even remember where i got it. possibly from an antique shop many years ago.

Thank you for your request. The presented object is an ink drawing on paper with unknown measurements. It depicts an abstract motif which reminds of trees and is signed "O. Effendi" and dated "57". Georg Oesman EFFENDI (1919-1985) is an Indonesian artist who mainly painted abstract compositions.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
