Dear Maurice,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a painting made in oil on board with the measurements of 9 x 12 inches. The painting depicts the famous "Île de la Cité" with the Pont Neuf the old historic center of the city of Paris. This painting was made in an impressionist style and is not signed or monogrammed. This piece date stylistically in the late 19th or early 20th century. On the reverse side, we see a paper label by "Wilfrid Coates" an art dealer. There is also an artist known with the name Wilfrid Coates who was active in the same period.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 200 to 400 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
