Oil painting
A friend gave it to me because it was a gift to her and she thought it was ugly.
Dear Kim,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a painting made in oil or acrylic paint on canvas with unknown measurements. The painting depicts a landscape with harvesting farmers painted in a somewhat haphazard style. It is not signed and has just a number which could be a model or inventory number written on the back of the canvas. Such paintings are typical of artworks made as decorative art in Asia and Mexico in the last third of the 20th century.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided. A fair market estimation would be between 30 to 60 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
George
