Acquired these items in Baalbeck, northern Lebanon which is the site of a large acropolis and where, during construction work, things are found in the soil. Both are pottery with the animal figure (10x7x3.5cm) showing signs of later repair and the human figure (15x5.3cm) possibly having some liturgical purpose? I am interested to learn more about possible dating and origins/story and your opinion on the genuine character. I am aware that I will not be able to legally sell this item to a licensed dealer in e.g. Europe because it originates in Lebanon and has no certified provenance. Am also not planning to as it is not part of my personal and private collection. Still I would be interested to find out what the approximate value would be if provenance etc could be legally established.

Thank you for submitting your items for appraisal. This appears to be Syro-hittite terracotta fertility figure together with a terracotta ibex, most likely recently restored. If authentic, with all the necessary paperwork, this would sell below 200 USD. The terracotta statue is covered with a dried up engobe, which might indicate that this is a forgery again. Forgeries have no value and if you can´t provide the legal documents the value is also zero. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to it.
