Don't know much about it

Hi Rezki,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
My colleague finally got back to me - apologies for the delay, they were away for the holidays - and says it's a copy of swords used in Ireland in the 16th century. A nice item, in somewhat rusty condition, that's worth $500-800 today.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
An antique Gaelic Gothic revival steel sword
probably 19th Century
With leather-wrapped hilt, cast and engraved brass cross guard, the ricasso and blade with engraved rune inscriptions and inset with a jeweled plaque.
41-1/2 inches
CONDITION:
PROVENANCE: Inherited
$500-800*
