Hi Malcolm,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
This two-drawer dresser has stylistic elements more aligned with the Aesthetic Movement than the Victorian style, which favored curved lines and a heavier visual appearance than this dresser has. The heavily relief-carved foliate drawer fronts play up the straight lines of the legs and H-stretcher, which looks like it's been faceted.
I'd need to see a few more detail photos of how the drawers and case are constructed to date this more precisely but it's most likely early 20th Century, made during the revival periods that borrowed design elements from different historical periods.
Other two-drawer case pieces such as this have been selling at auction for between $300 and $500 lately. It's worth noting that private sellers or dealers may price ones they're selling at higher retail prices.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
An antique Revival style carved walnut or oak two-drawer dresser
