Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. The presented object is a cabinet with the measurements of 25.5" H, 23" L, 15" W. This piece of furniture was made for storage purposes and is not decorated with a depictional or figural lacquer painting decor. The decor is the metal fittings which are useful and beautiful at the same time. The name for this typical Japanese pieces of craftsmanship is Tansu (箪笥). This piece was probably made in the first half or middle of the 20th century. The color of the metal fittings and the arrangement could be a hint that this piece could be also made in Korea.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
An estimation would be between 300 to 600 USD.
