A 20th Century of Asian painting of a Tiger. As it symbolises bravery and strength, the tiger is known as the king of the beasts throughout Japanese culture. Its imagery has been used as a talisman for soldiers, signifying the animal's importance as a leader.

Signed with no signature seal. Artist not recognized.

These type of objects were popular for Western collectors.
