Dear Bradford,
Thank you for the additional images/ information and your patience.
My sincere apologies for the delay
The presented object appears to be a German-produced P.38 semi-automatic pistol with an authentic holster. This 9 mm pistol was made by the Spreewerke (marked "cyq") and has the inspection 88 hallmarks of the Waffenamt.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible. Because of the long storage, it is possible that pieces in the inside could be corroded.
An estimation would be between 500 to 1.000 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
The decades long storage closet for the weapon was indoors and dry. There is no corrosion or color change of any type inside.
Dear Bradford,
That is good to know. The intention was to warn you to clean and inspect this weapon first before you use it. The estimate is for a good condition piece.
With kind regards,
Georg
question. Does my 48 hours restart today because you wanted to see the holster? thanks
