This is a handmade silk embroidery piece featuring ducks and flowers. I am not sure of the origin, but it is probably Chinese based on the design. Below are links to hammer sales of similar items to give you a sense of the market. As you can see, there are outliers in pricing on either end.

Sometimes these types of pieces sell for very little - there are also machine-made embroidery pieces on the market and so this brings down the price since they appear to be so commonplace. Others are especially pricey, and this is usually because of provenance or the amount of detail in the work.

As for the date, it resembles others made in the early 20th/late 19th century.
