It is signed to the lower left, and can be attributed to Ove Knudsen (Danish, 1894 - 1971). The work is in fair condition with losses to the upper edge, and minor discoloration to the surface. It measures 17.25 x 11 inches in frame.

Although he is a listed artist, there is very little information about Ove Knudsen's life, studies, or practice besides his nationality and life dates. There is a sparse auction record, and it appears that most sales occur in international sales rather than an American market. To estimate a Fair Market Value of this painting, the past sales records as well as general sales trends of works of a similar theme and date were considered.
