Material is porcelain, height of larger one is 6 1/2 inches and 4 inches wide. Number two is lighter is weight, 5 inches tall and three inches wide.

These appear to be two japanese moriage decorated Kutani vases of the 1930s or later, one vase decorated with the image of a lohan, the other possibly with the image of buddhist deity. Such vases were made for export on a very large scale from the 1930s to 1950s. The ones in your possession could date to the 1950s when Japan hat lost the status "occupied Japan". The estimate is based on similar sold at auction. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the item.
Thank you. I did not have any hope of a great treasure. I really wanted to know what they are I looked long over the Internet and could not find any information about that style. They belonged to my grandmother and I think I will keep them.
