13.5" x 13.5" silk embroidery
Unknown
Dear Kirk,
Thank you for the additional information and your patience.
The presented object appears to be silk embroidery with the measurements of 13.5" x 13.5". The embroidery depicts a woman in a South Asian costume surrounded by cranes. This piece was made after the design by the artist TING Shao Kuang (1939). Such embroideries were not on the market and were made with the commission by other producers or manufacturers and not by the artist himself. This motif was made after an paperwork by TING Shao Kuang (1939).
Works by this artist were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 150 to 300 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
There is no signature or stamp. But this is clearly his 1986 piece "Paradise"
