Signed print received directly from Peter Max as a wedding present. The dimensions are 29x34. He is a cousin of my ex-husband's family and attended my wedding. The print got ruined in a house flood. The insurance company will only pay 25% of value. The insurance company recommended that I get a high value since they only reimburse 25%.
Received from Peter Max who is a cousin of my ex-husband
This is a signed vintage print by Peter Max that is entitled "Sunrise II" and was produced in 1980. This particular print is also an A/P, or Artist's Proof, which precedes the numbered edition of 165. The print is also personally inscribed by Peter Max. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
First off, thank you so much for your quick appraisal on my signed Peter Max. Since the appraisal is for content reimbursement and the insurance company is only giving me 25% of the appraised value, they asked that the value have a smaller range vs. 400-4000. A value such as 3000-4000 :) so they can give me 25% and close my file (the retail price could be higher is perfect).
Please let me know if that's doable and again, thank you for your expertise. Have a great day,
