My aunt and uncle lived in Tokyo for many years and gave this print to my mother. It has been in my garage for about 4 years and I thought to have it appraised before I gave it away. I cannot see an artist name and description of work is on the back.
Not sure but the frame is 30” wide by 26” tall.
Hello, this item is a framed set of three floral prints, likely Japanese in origin, acquired by the client’s family while living in Tokyo. The prints appear to be traditional woodblock-style or lithographic reproductions, featuring delicate floral compositions consistent with Japanese decorative art, though no artist signature is visible on the front. The description on the back includes both Japanese and English text, possibly offering contextual details about the work or publisher, which could help narrow down its dating and origin if further examined.
Given the approximate frame size of 30 by 26 inches and assuming the prints are mid- to late-20th-century decorative works rather than original ukiyo-e or fine art prints, the estimated market value would fall between $100 and $250 USD. These types of framed decorative Asian prints are appreciated for their aesthetic appeal but are typically modest in value unless attributed to a known artist or workshop. For a more detailed evaluation, including translation of the back text, an in-person appraisal or consultation with a Japanese art specialist is recommended.
