Inheritance
Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be silver partly gilt persian ewer heavily adorned with rubies, diamonds and emeralds and an enamel portrait of Fath-Ali Shah, the portrait on the opposing side is damaged unfortunately. Fath-Ali Shah Qajar was the second Shah of Iran. Nothing comparable in splendor was offered in recent auctions. The estimate is based on similar items of that era and takes into account the light damages and losses. This item would have a good chance to exceed the high estimate at auction.
I forwarded your request and will attempt to arrange a meeting with the appropriate specialist auctionhouse. Will you be in London?
Good day
April 15, I'll be in Munich. Since I only have a Schengen visa, I am ready to meet with representatives of the auction in the Schengen zone. I need time to get a visa to England. If there is an opportunity, give me the contact details of the auction so that I can agree with them about the meeting.
Best regards
Good day
Thank you for the assessment, but it seems to me that the price you offer me is not much less than my expectations. I am ready to provide it for auction for sale with a starting price of 50,000 euros. I am sure this is not a high price for this masterpiece. On April 15, I will be together with a pitcher in Europe and am ready to meet with you for a more accurate analysis and assessment.
Best regards
