Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage/antique Poole mahogany upright piano
Serial number 55160 - circa 1910-1915
The paneled top with stylized acanthus top music stand flanked by Ionic colonnettes, the keyboard cover with painted and parcel-gilt stencil logo, rounded ends with waterleaf carving, raised on Ionic column-form legs.
57 inches high, 62 inches wide, 28 inches deep
CONDITION: this piano appears to have been restored in 1954; the client attests this piano is "in need of some TLC"
PROVENANCE: inherited

There is also a hand written note inside with a date of July, 1954. I believe I submitted that in the pictures.

That number falls between numbers documented as being made from 1910-1915, so this is quite an old instrument. The handwritten note appears to be that from a repair in 1954. This case is not as elaborate as Poole made but it would still have been a fairly costly instrument in its day.

There is a number engraved inside, but I’m not sure if that’s a serial number or model number - it’s 55160.
If that’s not it, where should I look?
