Dear Venessa,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. Cordey porcelain was founded in 1942 by Boleslaw Cybis in Trenton New Jersey. In 1959 the company was bought by Lighton Corp and began operated as Schiller Cordey Co, manufacturing lamps, that is when your piece was made, ca.1959. Originally, it would have been the base of a lamp. It is made out porcelain which has been poured into a mold then hand-painted and it appears to be in good condition. Based on recent price realization for items such as yours a fair market value would be 20-50 US dollars. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Best Regards
Morgan
Thank you. Quite disappointing on behalf of the market price. I was told it had a value of around $25,000 so therefore with that being said u could understand my disappointment. :( thank you
