Dear John,
Thank you for your help. Sadly I need a really close image of the image in the middle (the couple) to decide if this image is handpainted or whats more probable printed. Thank you.
With kind regards,
Georg
I looked at the plates I will assume they are printed. So any info you can give me to what they are, age and value etc
Am l going to get some information on these plates?????
Dear John,
Thank you for the additional information and your patience. Actually, I have to go to a libary for reference books to solve the hallmark. I ask pardon for this delay. The presented objects are two plates made in the 20th century. The plates have a cobalt blue underglaze and a printed golden decor. In the middle of the plates, we see couples in rococo costumes. The plates are marked with a printed hallmark R with crown and Saxe. Most similar is the hallmark of the manufacturer Hermann Ohme, but the R is missing. Nevertheless, these are decorative plates with a printed decor which is a hint for a mass-produced manufacturing process.
An estimate would be from 10 to 20 USD each.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
