Hello,
This is a large porcelain vase, measuring approximately 15.5 inches in height, with a mouth diameter of 6 inches and an overall circumference around 40 inches. The vase features a wide-bodied baluster form with a flared neck and slightly rounded shoulders. The surface is decorated with four finely hand-painted cartouches, each depicting a traditional East Asian landscape scene—mountains, trees, water, and seasonal elements—representing the four seasons. The brushwork combines soft ink-wash techniques and vivid enamel pigments in red, green, and black, applied over a glazed white ground. The vase is reportedly signed on the base, although the mark was not provided in detail.
Stylistically, this type of porcelain painting is consistent with modern Chinese decorative wares produced in Jingdezhen during the late 20th to early 21st century. The quality of painting—particularly the misty mountain landscapes and stylized trees—bears resemblance to popular “Four Seasons” export porcelains, often made for both domestic use and international decorative markets. While not antique, such pieces are still appreciated for their aesthetic value and scale, especially when hand-painted and signed. The absence of chips, cracks, or damage enhances its appeal as a display piece.
