Hi there! I was wondering if you could help specify as to whether this is a print, lithograph or chromolithograph? The paper surface does have some texture as shown by the close-ups. I am not able to feel the front as it is housed under glass but the back feels smooth. Speaking of the back, it is in reverse less the detail the front possesses. Is this an indication this piece was printed and bled through? I am quite certain the late 19th century lemon gold frame is original. The pieces of paper that come through the back of the frame wedged in the recessed areas are fragile and I am hesitant to remove the painting or print because of this. If I could it may or may not give me an indication of who the artist was if this piece was signed. The theme depicting a folk art dog is similar to the painter “Susan Waters” style.
