Hi Jonathan,
My abject apologies; the marks database I routinely use - which is usually thorough - did not have this "W" mark so I appraised it incorrectly at first. You are correct that this is a Jorge Wilmot kettle. His stoneware figural pieces are in greater demand and often bring between $500-1,000 but this kettle is a fine example of his utilitarian wares and appropriately valued at $300-500. I've updated the appraisal and revised the estimate accordingly (and notified the database to update their records :) )
Have a great week,
Delia
I was just told that this is a Jorge Wilmot original?
