25 x 37 inch oil painting by Quentin Coyle. The only online information I could find about him was his obituary and his letters home when he was a POW in World War 2 after his plane was shot down in Germany. This was purchased by myself from a very wealthy elderly local widow. They had very substantial high end art, furs, cars and furnishings. She believed they purchased this in San Francisco and hung above there piano for years. I simply loved the image which seems to cause most who see it and emotional response. It is my guess that the subject manner of the painting is something he had seen during the war. I do not know the title and have not tried to contact the family.
