What does this mean?

Hello Floyd.

This item appears to be an offset lithograph (maybe on canvas or canvas board) after a painting by Robert Grant Smith (American, 1914 - 2001) titled "Sudden Squall." Smith was a career long aeronautical engineer and an artist, best known for his United States naval and aviation paintings.

This work depicts the USS de Haven and USS Coral Sea while on Yankee Station, an operational staging area just off the coast of North Vietnam. The estimate provided is based on recent auction estimates and results of this print and other prints after Smith. However, retail or private sale price vary greatly.
