The watch was in my father's things when he passed away. I believe it is his father's watch.
RACINE - A Gentleman's Stainless Steel Divers Manual Wind Wristwatch, Swiss, circa 1970
the approx.38mm case with original black dial with cream baton & matching lume on both the hands and indices and Arabic numerals, within a timing bezel, manual wind movement, no strap, in working order.
When Gallet expanded their distribution network to the United States, they did it with the help of Jules Racine β a cousin of the Gallet brothers that conveniently lived in the US. They would go on to sell watches under the brand names Racine, Gallet by Racine, and Racine Royale β this example just states RACINE which probably indicates that it is pre-1975 & this is a rare Swiss vintage diver.
