4’3 " x 6’3", wool, some détérioration around edges but otherwise in good shape. I found this link with a rug that looks exactly like mine if this helps in your appraisal. I’m not an expert, which is why I need your help, but the markings look very similar. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.1stdibs.com/amp/furniture/rugs-carpets/central-asian-rugs/antique-fine-tekkeh-turkoman-engsi-hatchli-four-seasons-rug/id-f_6979253/?source=images
Neighbor who passed away.
Thank your for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a turkmen engsi ensi tekke tekkeh rug of some age. Those were sometimes used as doors in the felt tents of the turkomans, possibly only on special occasions, e.g. weddings or for special visitors, they are therefore also called "door rugs". As you have already noticed, theses rugs are quite common and auction results vary.
"Asking prices" in the trade can be much higher.
