Hello Carl,
I’m very glad that you chose Mearto for your online appraisal,
Considering the photographs, overall pattern, materials and the composition, I concluded that this is a Necklace Made of Natural Coral Beads. The piece dates back to the period between 1940-1960. The piece has a total of sixty one Natural Coral beads in similar sizes and shapes. The whole piece weighs 375 Grams. The most characteristic part of the piece is likely it's clasp, which is a S Hook Clasp, rarely used in mid-century and in early 20th century. The clasp's metal body is decorated with circular motifs. The necklace string is in coral red colour, to match the composition perfectly. Although beads are usually in similar sizes also in partial areas they narrow down in shape as a group of beads and gets more circular and large in areas. Bead at S Hook Clasp end measures 7.91 mm wide by 17.20 mm long. The piece is in good condition without any faults.
