Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a religious Mary and the infant Jesus painting inspired by italian art, but painted by an unknown talented amateur artist in the second half of the 20th century. The composition is quite good, the applied gold color sheet metal is inspired by italian art or icons. Information on the artist Pika is not available on any of the art related data bases. The estimate is based on similar offered or sold at auction.
Unfortunately the artist left no trace anywhere. The signature might consist of two abbreviated parts, Pi and Ka, for a christian name and a surname.
Thanks for your reply and appraisal i would really like to find out more about this artist PIKA i wonder if that would give it more value, i have kept this painting for a while already i dont know why it seems to me as if it was worth probably more but that's just my opinion.
