24 inches tall, 10.5 lbs, on a wooden base. I don’t see any marking, it does have a sticker that says “CC”, I’m guessing it was purchased mid to early 1980s. Looks like a sword in his right hand might be broken off.

Hi Mike,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
This particular model is unfamiliar to me but its part of a larger grouping of works made in the second half of the Nineteenth Century and into the first quarter of the 20th Century and were collected by wealthy people going on a Grand Tour of Europe. Unsigned cast metal (this could be iron, bronze or brass) figures of this size are currently bringing a few hundred dollars at auction, a bit closer to $1,000 if without losses (the loss of the sword or spear does, I'm afraid, hurt the value a little bit).
The sticker is a shipping label; it does not have anything to do with the maker etc of this.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A Grand Tour Cast Metal Figure of a Roman Warrior
European, late 19th-early 20th Century
Depicting a figure standing in contrapposto wearing a helmet and armor and carrying a shaped shield with dragon decoration, on a metal plinth on a wooden block base.
24 inches high overall
CONDITION: small loss to what figure was holding
PROVENANCE: acquired at auction
$500-800*
