I don’t know anything about the history of the rug or the material. It’s in generally good condition—no staining, odors, etc but does have some wear around the edges

Hi Chelsea,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
This looks to be a perfectly reasonable fairly mass-produced mid 20th Century Persian rug, in the Kashan style, with its allover floral pattern and earth-tones palette. At auction, rugs of this vintage and size usually sell for less than $1,000, though rug dealers will likely be asking higher (retail) prices for ones they're selling
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage Persian Kashan style hand-loomed cotton and wool rug
mid 20th Century
In muted earth tones (browns, grays, lavenders, greens and creams) with an allover floral pattern on a cream ground, with darker borders, selvedge fringe.
48” x 73” (4 feet by 7 feet 1 inch)
CONDITION: This appears to be in good condition; value assumes no stains, odors, tears or repairs.
PROVENANCE: Acquired at a second-hand store
$ 500-700*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, or questions/concerns, and thank you again for using Mearto.
