1884 .875 Gilted silver swan neck enamled cloisonne Kovsh measuring 5" High, 6" Long, 4" Wide and weighs approximately 9.1 oz. Bears the markings of Maker stamp of Ivan Khlebnikov / Assayed by Br Grachevi. No known areas of damage. Piece is in very good shape.
This was previously owned by a Russian family who said it belonged to their great grandmother

It is a beautiful Kovsh.
However after having examined the photos very carefully we have come to the conclusion that it is not an original Russian Kovsh. The colours of the enamel are not right and the Kovsh's shape is not original. Unfortunately many of the Kovsh were made many years ago and in that sense they may be old however not as old as it takes to be considered an original Russian Kovsh dating from 1884.
The sentimental value it represents to you will be much higher than the market value.
