Dear Jane,
Thank you for your additional images, help, and patience.
The presented object appears to be a painting made in mixed media on cardboard with the measurements of 27 x 31 inches. The painting depicts two great egret birds which is a common motif in Japanese and Chinese art. This artwork was made in the second half of the 20th century. The signature could be a title and could mean translated drink or refreshing and the stamp of the artist is sadly not mentioned in auction result databases and similar reference books.
Works by this artist were recently not offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 150 to 300 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
George
