Appears to be a print, 14" x19", numbered 205 out of 300, signed by Salvadore Dali. Print is framed and has a custom plate stated "collection of the Cannon family"
Father bought the print around 1990. Kept in original storage box. Print is framed and has a custom plate stated "collection of the Cannon family"
This is a signed an numbered color print of a Surrealist image entitled Sancho Panza by Salvador Dali (1904 - 1989) with platemark visible on the paper surface around the image. The "issue" with Dali prints is that he did not execute many of the signed print images himself. He sold the rights to images to publishers and was given blank sheets of paper to sign by hand, afterwhich a publisher would add a printed image and edition number. It is also more than likely that the attached plaque with the title on it is not correct. This image would have to be checked against a catalogue raisonne. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
