It is 5' 9" tall and 30" wide. I believe it is made of poster board. It has green tape around the edges but it is coming off. By the pictures you can tell the bottom has been destroyed by mice. There is no name that I can see but the paper curator where I had help unrolling this told me that he believes the original looks like charcoal.
Inherited by family member. Was told that this is a Sunblom Santa and signed. After unrolling I wasn't sure who this was from or how much it's worth. It is quite large and I'm considering restoring it.
This is a vintage mid 20th century large sized color lithograph holiday poster print featuring Santa at a fireplace during Christmas that would be used as an entry or wall decoration. likely from department store holiday season. There are however no advertisements on this thus it is not related to a chain. I have handled, authenticated and sold a large number of original paintings by Haddon Sundblom, who is best known for his iconic Coca Cola advertising illustrations, especially of Santa Claus. This is not a Sundblom illustrations nor by the Sundblom studios. Acid free linen backing is a great way to preserve this for future use. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
I have added close up photos. Unfortunately, my camera is not good with extreme close-ups. However, there are no "strokes" as this is a print. I have pics of the back if you need them.
