scheitholt

Description

I believe this is called a Scheitholt It has been in my family for about a hundred and fifty years. It was brought over by my Great-great-great grandfather Mathias Kopp from Wuertiemberg, Germany. Since he was born in 1848, I’m guessing it was made around the 1870’s? As you can see, there is lots of ware and tear to it. I’ve even noticed a crack at both ends. I assume it’s handmade, and I have no idea the type of wood it constructed.

Provenance

It was brought over by my Great-great-great grandfather Mathias Kopp from Wuertiemberg, Germany.
