TITLE:
Ladies SGP (gold plated), manually wound, mechanical movement, wristwatch with gold plated link bracelet,
S/N 300303, model 11-0680, made by Seiko, Tokyo, Japan, circa 1960s.
PROVENANCE: Grandparents
DESCRIPTION:
Case: 20 mm diameter (fits 6.5” wrist), gold plated with stainless steel back cover integrated with a skeletonized gold plated metal link bracelet with clasp marked Seiko. The shape of the watch is cushion shaped with the fluted steel crown inset into the cushion shape of the bezel. The bezel is brushed gold plated steel and is broad with a small round dial at the center. The stainless steel back cover is engraved, ‘Seiko, 300303, SGP ( Seiko code for gold plating), stainless steel back, model 11-0680, Japan-B with the Seiko electric symbol”.
Dial: Extremely worn and this metal round dial has four buttons placed at each quarter hour. It is missing the lines that connect the buttons at 12 and 6 and the horizontal line connecting buttons at 3 and 9. It is missing the name Seiko in the light lower quadrant and the signing of the watch at the base, Japan II -17805.
Movement is not shown, but from examining other mechanical examples it is Seiko’s calibre ‘11A’, made with 17 jewels, and signed Seiko Japan, it is a nickel split three quarter late movement with a jeweled index regulator.
Condition: Case – In fairly good condition with wear along the edges of the case. Dial is poor, missing most of its design. Movement – not seen but will consider all original to this case and genuine and perhaps functional.

PRICING:
This is worn and vintage wristwatch when Seiko was not yet a big seller in the market place. The fair market value for this watch I running condition would range in the $30-$50 category.
