Dear Rosana,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. My sincere apologies for the delay with the appraisal.
The presented object appears to be a "Sempert & Krieghoff" SxS double-barrel shotgun. The shotgun has Damascene steel barrels, an elaborated engraved decor depicting hunting scenes, and scrollwork. Also, there are gold inlay decors and a cartouche with a monogram of the former owner. Sempert & Krieghoff in the city of Suhl (Germany) is known for his high quality and elaborated quality. This rifle was probably made in the first half of the 20th century.
This piece is in medium to good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided. The nut wood stock show traces of usage and the metal parts are corroded.
A fair market estimation would be between 600 to 1400 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
George
