Both angels have hooks on the back as if they had been hanging on something. The wings are stuck into holes in their backs. Very lightweight. Not sure what the material is. I believe these came from my mother's family in Germany. The condition seems pretty good. I don't see any breaks.
They are 4.5 inches long and each weigh 0.8 ounces.

A pair of carved and parcel gilt wooden cherubs
Continental, possibly Germany, mid-late 19th Century
Each of semi-nude babies with gilt wings and loincloths, in active positions. Unsigned. Each with wire hangers affixed to the backs.
Each 4-1/2 inches long
CONDITION: Each with some minor areas of worming, paint, gesso and gilding losses.
PROVENANCE: Inherited
