Dear Andrew,
Thank you for your request. Please choose one painting to be apprized and please state the measurements.
With kind regards,
Georg
Dear Andrew,
Sadly they are not more valuable as a set. It is quite improbable that one person is going to buy all of them, but we can apprize it as a set.
With kind regards,
Georg
Hi Georg, Thanks again. I've deleted some images and brought it back to one painting only. See the only photo now. The size is (including the frame) 86cm wide by 72cm height.
Regards,
Andrew
Dear Andrew,
Thank you for the images and your patience. The presented object is a painting made in oil on canvas with the measurements of 72 x 86 cm. It depicts an interior scene from the inside of a hut. A peasant is sitting in front of a fire and eating out of a bowl he is holding in his hands. Outside of the window, we see a mountain range and this hut is probably a contemporary shelter for shepherds. The painting is signed in the right corner with the name Emil Lindenfeld. Lindenfeld (1905-1986) is a Hungarian born artist who lived and worked also in Italy before he moved in 1956 from Hungary to the US. In Italy, he lived in a high mountain village called Asagio. This hut and especially the landscape could be depicted in this painting.
An estimation would be between 350 to 750 AUD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
Georg, thanks for your reply. I am seeking an appraisal for selling them together. Are they not worth more as a set?
