A pair of hand-painted Monkey musician earthenware covered cannisters
unattributed maker, probably European, mid 20th Century
Each of circular form, the geometric checkerboard covers (lids) mounted with a seated monkey, dressed as a jester, playing an instrument (horn and flute), the bodies with checkerboard designs.

CONDITION: appear to be in good condition with wear commensurate with age and use.
