Your teacaddy is made of sheffield silver which is also know as silverplate. It is quite visible when you look at the teacaddy that the top silver layer has been rubbed/worn off after many years of polishing and use. The teacaddy dates from the late 1800s to the early 1900s when this particular style and choice of decoration was in fashion. It is a decorative item but given the material it is not as expensive as a silver teacaddy from the same period would be.

The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online silver and silverplate auction, where I believe the teacaddy has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the lovely teacaddy. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
